Projects : Farmer Shops

Many farmers in producing countries lack affordable access to the inputs necessary to produce a high yielding, sustainable crop. Source Trust is committed to improving farmers' access to the necessary inputs through farmer shops. The shops source a variety of farm inputs and equipment from wholesalers and sell directly to farmers at competitive prices with flexible payment terms.

Items sold include:
• Agricultural fertilisers, fungicides, insecticides and spraying machines
• Farm tools & clothing - such as pruners, rakes and wellington boots

Source Trust can also help to arrange farm inputs to be provided on credit through donor supported microfinance institutions. Providing farmers with basic inputs, tools and supplies will help ensure that they are able to grow a high yielding and good quality crop year on year.
